Hello, I am Jessica Ferrol, the Community Ayurvedic Herbalist. My career and research is focused on the body, mind and spirit connection. My concentration is in Ayurvedic medicine, Yogic psychology, Holistic Mental Health Counseling, Hakomi and herbal medicine. I bring these fields of study together to form a thorough understanding of how disease develops and how to find the way back to balance. My service is bringing you a complete system of healing.
I am a certified Ayurvedic Doctor, level two Hakomi practitioner, certified yoga therapist, herbalist and I hold a Masters degree in Holistic Mental Health Counseling from Salve Regina University. I have been in private practice since 2003 supporting the community via Ayurvedic consultations, home made herbal formulations and workshops. I also work as a mental health counselor for an non-profit agency whose purpose is helping at-risk youths.
In 2001, I completed the 300 hour yoga teacher training at the America Yoga Academy. In 2003, I earned a dual certificate of graduation from California College of Ayurveda and the American Institute of Vedic Studies. I completed Kathy Keville's Herbal Apprenticeship program in 2004 and was a Master Teacher at the California College of Ayurveda for 13 years. I achieved my MA in holistic mental counseling in 2019. In April, 2019 I completed the level two training in Hakomi mindful somatic psychotherapy. Currently, I am working toward my RI mental health counseling license.
